it took me no time at all to stitch up my color wheel charms. the holdup is trimming. i hate trimming. i bought a new ruler that i don't much care for. it's supposed to sharpen your rotary cutter as you use it but i'm pretty sure it dulls blades faster instead. this is the only small square ruler i have so for now i'm sticking with it. i bought the same type of ruler to replace the 12.5" square that helped to nearly lop my finger off. and i already ripped off the packaging so it's too late to return it. i hate that.
i still have a scar, btw. just in case you were wondering.

That's going to look really awesome! I'm still thinking about what to do with my charms. I was wondering if the rulers could possibly work, thanks for a heads up. I'm so sorry you almost lost a finger in a quilting accident. I would still try and return them and tell them it doesn't work, how would you even know without taking the packaging off. I hope your having a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of that ruler, but it's good to know I shouldn't waste my money. Hopefully, you can return it without any problems. Your HSTs look great! I'm eager to see this quilt top when you finish.
ReplyDeletei have wondered about that ruler and have contemplated buying one... probably won't now. i love the colors of your blocks. trimming does suck and it takes so long.
